Circle of Life by Lee Roche
Introduction

his is my story about how we saved my husband from cancer. This book tells you about this terrible dis-ease, how it affected us, what we did and how we dealt with things. There will be parts of this book that my family are not going to be happy about ... too bad and get over it.

I was woken by something early morning at around 3.30 am and compelled to turn on the computer and write. I wanted to tell whoever wanted to hear how we worked through this terrible dis-ease. Now I know that it was my Dad in spirit. Dad has always been an early riser - “A trait I did not inherit from you Dad. Thanks for waking me though!”

If I can help someone else through radiation, chemotherapy and operations and let them know there is life after cancer, then I think I have completed one of the many tasks I was put on this planet to do. If I can also help someone make the choice not to go ahead with radiation, chemotherapy and operations then I also think I have helped. Burn (radiation), Poison (chemotherapy) and Cut (Operations) is not always the answer.

But I am not an expert! I may have studied De Mousgraffe Massage, Reflexology and Polarity Therapy and completed extensive research into alterative health and diet to help Greg, but I don’t have all the answers. This is my story and it is Greg’s story and I share it in the hope that it inspires people to do their own research. Seek out professional advice from both medical professionals and natural therapy professionals and then make a more balanced decision.

I could not subtitle this book, “How I Saved My Husband from Cancer” because I did not save Greg; Greg saved himself with our help. I also want to make it quite clear when I talk about “we” this includes Greg. You can lead a horse to water but you cannot make him drink. Greg wanted this more than anything. I believe that it is what we put into Greg’s body that saved him. And when I say “what we put in”, I mean the food, the thoughts, the love as well as Greg’s own sheer determination.

One day I thought, “What if he doesn’t live?” However, that was not an option; there is still so much we want to do. He owed me a trip to Greece! At the writing of this book, we still have not got there but the tickets are booked ... finally!

Reading the Doctors notes while writing this book, I often wonder how we managed. Some days my patience and faith were tested to the extreme and Greg’s will to live was also tested. However, now I look back and know that 2006 was a year that changed us ... sometimes for the not so good but most of all for the better.

I want to share with you what we did to help Greg. He is not in remission ... we believe he is cured. Yes, we know there are all types of cancer and everyone is treated differently. However, we all have the same body parts, we all have a brain and we all have a heart - and notice the heart is one place that you cannot get cancer! Think about that!

If you have cancer or someone you love has cancer then please read this book with an open mind. We did everything we could and did everything we believed. We had nothing to lose and everything to gain. I have written this book in the hope that I can save maybe one more life. I hope it is yours or the people you love!

With love and light ... let’s get started.
